Grand Lake Tournament Results
Jeff, Chris and Dan show off Jeff and Chris's first day, First Place SackThe first day at Grand Lake was kinda cool and rainy.  Most everyone caught fish.  Chris Bishop and Jeff Najmowicz managed to bring in a nice 16.88 pound winning batch of fish, all Smallmouth.  Chris had the big Smallmouth for the day, a nice 4.08 pound fish. The guys from the Alpena Bass Club even stopped by to catch the weigh in.  If you want to see a slide show of more pictures, CLICK HERE.  You can see the full tournament results HERE.
Day Two at Grand Lake
Day Two was windy, but at least a bit warmer.  The overall totals were mostly down for the day, except for Paul Wagner and Jay Haaseth.  They managed to hone in on a pattern of White Spinnerbaits and Texas Rigged Senkos.  They came up with a pretty nice 14.84 mixed bag of fish.  Paul even caught a very respectable 4.79 Largemouth Bass.  It was the big fish for the weekend.
If you want to see a slide show of more pictures, CLICK HERE.  You can see the full tournament results HERE.  We also want to Thank the Parker House Restaurant and Motel for treating us so well.  They even got up very early both days to make breakfast and sandwiches for everyone.  If you head up to Grand Lake, check them out, and stop by and eat.
Michigan Bass Anglers is looking for Boaters....
The club is currently recruiting boaters for the club. You need to be willing to participate in the youth club as well as be an active participant in meetings and fund raisers.  The club does not charge club dues, though Michigan Bass Nation and National Bass Nations dues do apply.  If you are a boater and want to get into a club that is into learning and working together with the anglers in the club as well as our Youth Club, we hope you take the time to contact our Club President Paul Wagner ( pwagner@michiganbassanglers.net ).  You can fill out an on-line form to contact the club HERE. The form will submit right to Chris.
Inflatable Life Jackets
It's not looking very promising for the inflatable PFDs.  According to what We have found out so far, it looks like the Coast Guard and the Bass Nation is saying that kids under 16 are not allowed to use them.  Their standards are showing Over 16 and over 80 pounds.  It is looking like we will be stuck with the regular ones for now.  From what we are seeing, a PFD must be worn at all times.
Shirt Orders
If you want to order a shirt before the season starts, get an order form and get it to Paul Wagner, he will get it ordered for you.  Pricing and all the other information you might need is on the order form.  If you ordered one recently and want to pay Paul back personally, drop him an email. He will let you know how to go about that. If you want to take the cost out of your fund, let him or the Treasurer know.
